“PHILIPPINES REPORTS FIRST TWO CASES OF OMICRON”

Travelers from Japan & Nigeria Carried the Virus

The Philippines reports Wednesday its first two cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
Both travelers, a returning Overseas Filipino Worker, OFW, who arrived from Japan on December 1, and a Nigerian national who arrived from Nigeria on November 30 are asymptomatic.
Both are isolated in a facility managed by the Bureau of Quarantine.
